Advantage wins prestigious BAA contract for a new Passenger Authentication Scanning System (PASS)

In the challenging market of airport security and passenger processing, Advantage System Solutions is emerging as an experienced and accomplished provider of leading-edge identity management solutions. Having recently delivered one of the world’s largest biometric trials at Heathrow airport earlier this year (which included Face, Iris, Finger & Vein technology), Advantage has now been commissioned by BAA to roll out a brand new Passenger Authentication Scanning System (PASS) which will provide an ultra-modern security solution for processing passengers through Terminals 1 and 5 at Heathrow in 2007.   PASS will see the amalgamation of on-line check-in, airline data, biometric fingerprint technology and departure lounge systems into one seamless ‘Gate-to-Gate’ solution. PASS will herald significant advances in passenger operations, greatly improve security and increase efficiency. Advantage is supported in this strategic project by Dermalog, a world leader in the design and development of fingerprint systems.
