ISIS Overview: What is ISIS?

ISIS is a rapidly deployable, integrated suite of security systems which provide a significant step change in capability to search, secure, monitor and control major events or high profile locations by day or night, in all weathers, on a temporary or permanent basis.

ISIS provides central management of all relevant security data. It is a complete, technically advanced, decision support system offering 6 key components:

Planning

A mobile, rugged tablet PC provides a planning suite to ensure that ISIS is deployed in the most effective configuration to meet operational criteria. Pre-planned operational data is integrated simply and effectively into the main system. Planning and briefing for a short-term security operations can now be handled more quickly, simply and easily than ever before.

Command & Control

ISIS provides a single focus for the command and control of the entire security operation. This comprehensive suite presents a visual representation of the security landscape using aerial photographic imagery overlaid with GIS information. This representation will change in real time, via the wireless network, to reflect the security status of the whole operation. ISIS will also display the location of manpower resources and other assets deployed, through the skilful integration of a GPS capability. During an incident, the decision action cycle is shortened yet strengthened by these features. All actions are recorded in a tamper proof audit trail for future use or to support subsequent investigation. More ...

Mobility

Geographic sectors are secured using specially prepared bar-coded seals that are read and recorded via rugged, mobile, handheld devices. The security status of sectors can now be monitored in real time and the effectiveness of the security force can be measured for performance. These mobile handheld devices offer access to the visual images generated from the cameras, as well as to photographic and mapping images of the secured area. A host of other essential reference material, tailored to suit the operational requirements of the security team, is also available on handhelds via a local intranet (eg suspects, key holders, VIP lists etc).

Imagery

High resolution, wirelessly operated, rugged, day/night cameras with rich functionality such as motion detection, deliver a crucial, rapidly deployable surveillance capability. These self-configuring cameras will transmit real time images to the command and control unit as well as to all operators using mobile devices. There is a wide choice of cameras available, all of which are equipped for battery (Li-ion) or mains power operation. In addition to camera images, ISIS also provides senior decision makers and commanders with a robust, modular and secure framework to allow additional imaging capabilities to be added quickly and easily. Key amongst these are 3-Dimensional Facial Recognition (Biometrics) and Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) to provide much improved access control. More ...

Connectivity

All devices communicate across an independent IP network, deployed via an encrypted, wireless LAN. Information is fed back to the Command and Control Suite in real time, providing commanders with a complete panoramic visual representation of the operational area. The range and effectiveness of the LAN can be tailored easily and quickly by varying the number of rugged access points. More ...

Early Warning

A wide range of security alarms and sensors can be integrated with ISIS to provide early warning. The location of these alarms and sensors can be displayed on the Command and Control console to provide a single, integrated view of the security status of the operation. More ...
