Connectivity

All devices communicate across an independent IP network, deployed via an encrypted, wireless LAN. Information is fed back to the Command and Control Suite in real time, providing commanders with a complete panoramic visual representation of the operational area. The range and effectiveness of the LAN can be tailored easily and quickly by varying the number of rugged access points.
ISIS comes with a scalable number of portable, rugged, wireless Access Points which provide a secure LAN for high performance communications across all the ISIS components. These Access Points are supplied in a rugged, weather proof, custom built casing designed for battery or mains power operation, and they come with quick release mounting brackets. Each Access Point supports up to 127 mobile voice and data devices and can transmit comfortably up to a mile in open country. Additional features of the ISIS wireless network include:

Advanced Data Protection
A comprehensive security suite, including VPN and industry-standard 128 bit encryption, ensures that data protection is not compromised. Additional integrated security intelligence detects the presence of hackers’ rogue and unauthorised access points close to your facilities.

Easy to Deploy Power for Wireless Access Points
In addition to the totally self-contained battery power supply, access points can be deployed with Power-over-Ethernet Hubs that deliver both operating power and data access points via standard network cable, eliminating the need for 220 volt AC cable.

Selection of Antennae
A range of high-performance omni-directional (360o) and direction (20o to 90o) antennae are available with ISIS, offering different coverage patterns to meet site, application and power requirements.

Connectivity to Other Networks
These Access Points support the extension of ISIS onto other wired or wireless networks. The entire suite is capable of seamless international operation, automatically adjusting communication protocols to fit with local country regulatory requirements.

Maximising Range and Data Throughput
The network automatically self-configures to ensure optimum range and throughput, and it also prioritises traffic to maintain quality of service.

Network Administration & Security
System administration is supported by a number of management tools for quick system installation, maintenance and upgrade. In addition, the entire WLAN installation can be managed using an optional suite of wireless management tools, including software for monitoring and controlling network activity and performance.
