Planning

A mobile, rugged tablet PC provides a planning suite to ensure that ISIS is deployed in the most effective configuration to meet operational criteria. Pre-planned operational data is integrated simply and effectively into the main system. Planning and briefing for a short-term security operations can now be handled more quickly, simply and easily than ever before.

The Planning Suite provides an operator with a range of simple, user friendly software tools to plan all aspects of a security operation. It is provided on a rugged, high specification tablet PC for use in any weather. It comprises the following features:

Geographic Planning
For events based on accessible maps and graphics of the site, proprietary GPS software allows planners to input a wide range of operational data and graphics. Aerial photography can be integrated and overlaid onto security plans. The integrated GIS technology allows the loading of digital mapping data such as Ordinance Survey standard maps from a simple menu interface.
Capturing Operational Data
This provides a capability to create and incorporate additional objects such as internal wall layouts, temporary structures, camera points, search locations and access points. Objects can be added to the security plan either manually or by accurate GPS coordinate positioning using an optional GPS module.

Data Export
All data files are stored in a standard format to simplify the integration of data with the Command & Control Suite. Data is uploaded via a serial link or through a wireless mobile link.

Hyperlinked Data Access
This allows detailed additional data such as photographs, notes and drawings to be associated with any search location object and instantly recalled.

Defining Sectors and Areas
With an easy to use toolset, planning staff can quickly define search sectors and primary areas, and allocate security priorities using a traffic light colour system.
Historical Archive Access
Standard browser facilities provide a facility for existing plans to be recalled from CD storage. Maps, photographs and data can then be reloaded and updated as required without compromising existing planning data.

The Hardware
The sealed and protected unit features a rugged magnesium chassis and industrial bumper system. Snap-on expansion modules allow the system to meet specific applications such as GIS, digital imaging or scanning.
Peripherals including monitor, keyboard, mouse, printers and extra drives can also be attached to the unit quickly and easily. The tablet PC offers advanced handwriting capabilities that allow the creation, storage and transmission of handwritten notes. Voice recording is an additional option if required. A CAD drawing package allows for sketches or preset graphic objects to be created and incorporated into security plans when necessary.
