Process overview
FARYNOR™ provides an extensive capability to manage Fire Safety information and help control Fire Safety related work. This article provides a more detailed overview of the functionality on offer including short demonstrations of key elements of the software.
Defining the work At the heart of FARYNOR™ is the “job” which defines the work that is carried out within Community and Statutory Fire Safety. The system provides a flexible capability to enter job definitions (“types”) which can then be allocated to Fire Safety staff. For a brief overview of the process by which a Job Type is defined click here.
Managing the premises Jobs are performed by Fire Safety staff at a premise. Premises, such as an office or a school, are managed within the Location and Property sections of FARYNOR™. Locations can contain many Properties, so for example, an industrial estate would be registered as a Location with each of the businesses registered as Properties. For a brief overview of the information that is held against a Location, click here, and for a Property, click here.
Specialist information is also held within FARYNOR™ to manage the additional complexity of Properties that have Petroleum installations. For a summary of the information held against a Petroleum installation, click here.
Performing the work Job types are assigned to defined posts within the Fire Service to be performed at a particular premise. Once the job type is set up a simple wizard type approach is used to create a specific instance of that job type. For a demonstration of this approach click here.
FARYNOR™ assists users of the system to manage the workload that arises from the jobs that are assigned. In particular, a user can see all currently assigned work and work that has passed specific reminder dates as soon as they log in. In addition, a station commander has oversight of the jobs that have been assigned to watches and can quickly assess current workload and adjust the assignment as required. For more information click here.
FARYNOR™ also allows the Fire Service to assess the quality of their delivery by creating Questionnaires that can be sent as hard copy, with the answers then entered back into the system before reporting is initiated. For an overview of the production of a questionnaire click here.
Reporting the outcomes As you would expect, FARYNOR™ provides extensive coverage to generate reports on the information that is captured. For more information click here.
