   DMTS (Document Management Tracking System)

 

Under the terms of a framework agreement with Hertfordshire Constabulary, Advantage System Solutions Limited delivered a Document Management and Tracking System (DMTS).

 

The DMTS system automates the processing of incoming documents and correspondence providing a tracking process and audit trail. Used by the Chief Executive’s office to manage actions resulting from documents handled by the Constabulary’s most senior police officers, DMTS was initially developed in response to a requirement for auditability and traceability of important actions placed upon the Constabulary’s chief officers and others.

 

The system was delivered on time and within budget and has been in operational use since May 2003.  Advantage provides an ongoing support, maintenance and enhancement service.

 

The system, which runs on the Constabulary’s intranet, was developed using HTML/ASP and runs on a SQL Server database.  It makes extensive use of industry standard office products, such as Microsoft® Word and email, to provide powerful document production and workflow capabilities.
